Advocacy

Turning supporters into policy champions.

I led No Kid Hungry's Lobby Days — immersive advocacy experiences designed to bring our most influential supporters face-to-face with lawmakers on Capitol Hill. Chefs, corporate executives, major donors, and nonprofit partners weren't just briefed on policy — they were trained to tell compelling stories about childhood hunger and advocate for real solutions, from child nutrition reauthorization to expanded SNAP benefits.

Our largest Lobby Day resulted in more than 100 meetings with elected officials and turned dozens of supporters into confident, credible champions. And when the pandemic shut down in-person advocacy, I rebuilt the experience virtually — ensuring our network could continue reaching legislators during a moment of extraordinary need.

These weren't symbolic visits. They were strategic, coordinated pushes for change.
